Our Bollywood biggies follow Digvijay Singh and Rahul Gandhi (who gave inhuman comments after the July 13 Mumbai blasts) in showing insensitivity towards the July 13 Mumbai blast victims.
Being a huge Shah Rukh Khan fan, I never thought I would ever condemn him on my blog. But the insensitive attitude shown by him, along with his Bollywood counterparts, towards a tragic incident like the July 13 Mumbai blasts is forcing me to do so.
It was barely 48 hours after a number of innocent Mumbaikars lost their lives in the most inhuman manner and plenty got injured in the triple bomb blasts that took place at Zaveri Bazaar, Opera House and Dadar. The whole of India was either grieving or fuming with anger at the adversity.
But somewhere in Bandra, SRK had thrown a bash for the release of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and for Katrina Kaif’s birthday. From Farhan Akhtar’s Twitter message to SRK, it is evident that those present at the event had a blast. Said Farhan, “@iamsrk thanks for the super celebration last night. A perfect end to the release day… Love.”
Although I have been a big admirer of SRK, my respect for him has decreased and also for all the big wigs of Bollywood who went gung-ho with celebrations at the bash (Katrina Kaif, Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Kalki Koechlin, Abhay Deol, Karan Johar, Arjum Rampal, Chunky Pandey and others).
Interestingly, when the blasts took place, SRK said this on Twitter from London, “En route india and mumbai…I am devastated and saddened by the loss in my city. May Allah bless us..want to be there as quickly as possible.”
So what does he do after returning to Mumbai ‘as quickly as possible’? He goes all out with ‘super celebrations’ as his devastation and sadness suddenly vanish! Nothing more to say!

No wonder that they are throwing and attending parties. I am not at all disappointed. It’s very easy to say nice words in posh bungalows and with security. They can never imagine what a common man goes through.

These people just want to gain publicity by initially condemning the act. Then they are in their own happy world.

Its a good sign that at least Bollywood actors showed their guts.
The Lost Common Man Of India says
Patriotism doesn’t register to some people (esp. the youth ) as a virtue or value. Be it stars, bigshots or even a certain section of middle class people, patriotism is usually seen as an opinion, a perception or rather just another field of interest to be entered in their respective profiles on one of those social networking websites.
When you have such a socially hyperactive generation representing the nation, currently, there’s no use debating on national priorities vs personal interests.
A country having an exceptional ensemble in the form of politicians, criminals, and youth with ‘care-a-damn’ attitude, it’s only the Almighty who can Save Our Souls.
